Night and the Enemy

Illustrated by Marshall Rogers
1987

Over the years, Ellison has written several stories set against an epic conflict between the planets Earth and Kyba. The five that had been previously published were presented in graphic format here.

The tales are not bad. Neither are Ken Steacy's illustrations. But Ellison's Earth-Kyba story cycle is, on the whole, not his best work, and absent the common backdrop they would never have received the prominence they receive in Night and the Enemy. Below average.
